Nets Star highlights key factor to winning it all this coming season

  • James Harden knows the Nets can win anything if all of their players are healthy
  • Harden has yet to get credible playing time with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant
  • Nets are favorites to win 2021-22 NBA season

The Brooklyn Nets look pretty good on paper, but it’s all for nothing if most of the stars are in the infirmary.

James Harden was a big name acquisition last season in the NBA, but his presence was irregular due to injuries. It was the same situation with other stars like Kyrie Irving who was on and off the list.

For a team that includes Harden, Irving and Kevin Durant, there’s no denying that the Nets look intimidating. The only question left is whether these players can stay healthy.

Harden appeared to be aware of this when he spoke to Michael Shapiro about Illustrated sports. He thinks the Nets have the right pieces to win the NBA title, but all of that can only come about if everyone is ready to play.

“At full power, no one can beat us,” he said. “I’ll just leave it at that.”

The Nets made it to the Eastern Conference finals last season, but were foiled by eventual NBA champion the Milwaukee Bucks.

Irving missed the last three games, while Harden came back but not 100%. Overall, Durant did his best to carry the team.

It’s also worth noting that the Nets’ “Big Three” barely played together on the floor. They logged in only 202 minutes more than eight games in the regular season, another factor that some point out.

As the 2021-22 NBA season approaches, the Nets will try again. With more time to recover and the opportunity to blend in as a team, there’s reason to believe Brooklyn could win it all this coming season.

The Nets are pretty much in the same boat as the Los Angeles Lakers.

Brooklyn is the favorite at +230, with the Lakers (+400) and Bucks (+850) behind by FanDuel.
